Well after thinking long and hard (that's what she said) I decided to resign from my job as supervisor over a rapidly growing and fantastic program. Lucky for me, they have offered me a part-time position working primarily from home which will give me a lot more time with Little Miss Pita Pocket. Truly, I am very excited that I will get the best of both worlds. The Hot Pocket and I will be taking a big financial hit with me going down to part time but after many hours of weighing the pros and cons, I think this is what is best for right now.
So starting June 1st, Pita and I will be bashing around Salt Lake City taking swimming lessons and visiting museums. And there will be laundry. Loads and loads of laundry.
I have checked in to a few "mommy groups" nearby and unfortunately, haven't found one that fits my personality. If you know of any great playgroups or activities that have cool and laid back moms, send me their info.
