Proud Papa

It's not very often that my black cat, Ernie "The First Born", makes it on to the blog. Mainly it's because I hold a grudge against him because for the first year we had him he would attack only me and use my legs and arms to sharpen his kitten claws. He loved Hot Pocket and would weave in and out of his legs purring, but with me, he would wait until I was totally preoccupied or relaxed before springing on top me with outstretched paws, giving me cuts all over my arms that surely made my coworkers at the time contemplate my mental health (or lack thereof). It wasn't until we got Clyde, that ernie decided to take some Pamprin and get over his PMS. and now he is a lovely cat whose favorite past time is sitting on the edge of tub while I shower or deciding that he needs to place his entire body on top of the computer keyboard whenever i decide that I need to surf the net.

Ernie and Hot Pocket have a very special bond. Still, you can imagine my surprise when my darling husband decides to model a baby sling by putting cantankerous Ernie in the sling and then proceeds to do household chores. Ernie was snug in his little man-sling looking adoringly at my husband. I didn't even attempt to copy because I'm sure Ernie would not allow ME to hold him in such a way and I have scars to prove it.

Luna is about the same. I can't believe how many people have come up to me to ask me how she is doing and I sincerely appreciate all of the well wishes. I think she is getting better sometimes but then she will do something that makes me wonder if she really is indeed ok. She shakes badly in the morning which I think is a reaction to her pain meds wearing off throughout the night. She likes to sleep on our bed or the couch and now she doesn't like to jump off on to the floor which makes me think that it hurts her to jump. All in all though, I think she is on the mend and I know your well wishes are making her feel stronger.

Starting next week I will be seeing my OB every week, woot woot! Baby McHotPocket has been breech the past few weeks and we are really hoping that she turns by next week or we might have a c-section on our hands. I've tried just about every suggestion to get this baby to turn even putting my humility aside while i roll on to an ironing board that is propped on to the couch and stay head down for 10 minutes in the hopes that somehow her head will float down. Now if only I had a picture of THAT!
