Luna was attacked by another dog at doggy daycare on Friday. A german Shepherd for whatever reason decided to bite her stomach and took out a huge bite of flesh the size of a McDonalds hamburger. It was traumatic to say the least. there was a lot of blood and hanging skin that it put me right over the edge. We took her to the vet for an ER consult where they immediately whisked her away for emergency surgery. she spent the night and we picked her up yesterday morning. The wound was so large that they had to sew 2 layers of stitches. I stayed at home with her all day keeping her quiet and making sure she was ok.
This morning we woke up to her hiding from us. She refused to eat and was shaking uncontrollably. We are going back to the vet this afternoon for another emergency vet appt to see what else could be wrong. Poor Luna.
What will happen to the german shepherd that bit her? Apparently, this dog will still be allowed to go to doggy daycare. They will just make sure to keep Luna and this dog separated. I see no sense in this because if Luna was a smaller dog, a bite like this would have killed her.

OH MY GOSH!!! oh I would be so mad!! poor puppy!!
Sorry guys. I feel bad now because I was the first one to go to this daycare and recommended them. My dogs still go there everyday but I'm seriously thinking differently now especially if they allow Oshi back. Give Luna a careful hug from me.
