Wedding Bells!

My best good friend Julie is getting married on Saturday and I really can't wait! I have known Julie since we were junior high and we have been close ever since even with states and countries between us. She has been there for me through all of the major life changes and I'm so thrilled to be able to be a part of her special day.
The picture above is one of my most favorite pictures of the two of us. It was taken an hour or so before my wedding nearly 4 years ago.
I was asked a mere 2 weeks ago to write and give a toast at the reception. She claims that she asked me to do the toast back in March when we went to Florida together, but I beg to differ! honestly though, I am so touched to be asked to do something as meaningful as a toast that I sure hope I can keep it together enough while I give it to not break down into emotional tears that pregnancy seems to make happen more frequently. In fact, I practiced my toast in the car on the way to work this morning and every time, we are talking at least 5 times, my voice would break at the last couple of sentences and tears started to prick the corners of my eyes. And it's not even a touching and emotional toast! Oh boy I'm in trouble!
Tomorrow I am hosting a bachelorette/wedding shower for her with our mutual friend Janice. I have really put my heart and soul into it and i really hope everything goes well.

As for how I'm feeling these days, I'm doing pretty well. Tomorrow I turn 12 weeks pregnant (3 months for all you non-parents out there) All the books state that the morning sickness should start to taper down in the next week and I sure hope so. I have been lucky in that I haven't puked much but the constant feeling of nausea has been pretty gnarly. I'm not sporting a baby bump yet unless you want to call the increase amount of weight I've gained "baby weight." Actually though, I am noticing a little bit of "thickening" around my middle. However, I just took the picture below and it blew my mind. apparently, I am SHOWING but I choose to believe that really, it's just a bad camera angle.

And yes, I am wearing my cowgirl pajamas. I have a feeling that drawstring will come in handy for the next 6 months!
