Misbehaving children

The annual Lehi Round Up Rodeo was Saturday night and we had a lot of fun except for the little boy that sat behind me.We sat in bleachers and he kept kicking me square in the kidneys...repeatedly. He'd would hit or kick me and his parents would be like "Jimmy if you do that one more time she will get mad at you and we will go home." I can't tell you how many times they threatened him but the wailing of the child should have been a good indication that perhaps the kid was ready to go home. Every time he hit me or pulled my hair I would turn around and glare at the mom...

I have never been very patient with strangers misbehaving children. You bring your child to a very nice Italian restaurant on a Friday night and they start having a temper tantrum and throwing spaghetti at other patrons and all the parents say is "Jenny! Stop it! Or we will go! and you will not get dessert!" and then they repeat this like 100 times until I have sent them at least a caboodle of crusties and we end up boxing our food because the 'date night' has been ruined for us.

So after the rodeo, we went home and i fell promptly asleep. About 2 am I rocketed out of bed with a horrible and terrible thought! What if all those frustrated sighs and crusties are suddenly going to be directed towards me when our little kiddo is born!? And i'm afraid we potentially will have the worst behaved child on the planet just because of all the disapproving looks I sent moms over the years. That my friends is called irony...or karma.
