Bokkie

Last night, we were hanging out in our room listening to the Ipod and playing cards when the song, "Bokkie" by the band Elefant came on the Ipod. I should back up and say that about a year and half ago, Shanon burned me a copy of their album, Sun Light Makes Me Paranoid, and it has been a favorite of ours ever since.

The baby had been especially quiet yesterday but as soon as this song came on, she started going CRAZY! Her little legs and arms started moving my tummy to the beat. It was a weird case of alien baby as you could see whole legs (?) and arms (?) moving under my skin. We laughed and laughed and as soon as the next song came on, the movement stopped. I pushed and changed my position but still, not a peep. So in an experiment, about 5 minutes later, we put "Bokkie" back on the Ipod and sure enough, she started recreating a scene from Flashdance in my uterus. It was insane.

So this morning when driving to work, I thought myself, "What are the chances that she will still move around to this song?" So i played the song in the car and sure enough, about 1 minute into the song, she started kicking like crazy.

From this moment forth, we shall call her Bokkie...until we come up with a better name.
