My dear friend (you know who you are)-
First, let me point out something that you wrote in your email that completely blew my mind. I thought i was the only one that was worried about my ring getting caught on my jeans pocket. In fact, i would troubleshoot and obsess for days on end in the beginning. "But my hand doesn't go in nice and neatly from whence it used to!" i would whine which ultimately would be met by the rolling of the eyes from the Hot Pocket and me puffing my lower lip out and looking....well...pathetic really. Then I'd make the diamond flash in the light and i'd temporarily blind him,mid-eye roll. moooowhahahahahahaha! i can't believe that someone is just as odd as I am. I guess great minds (that have grown up together) think alike. which brings me to my next point...
Indicating that we have known each other now for, and i quote, "HALF OF OUR LIVES" made my eye bug out and made me vomit a little in my mouth. can it be? are we old? and heaven forbid....are we GROWN UPS?!?!?! say it isn't so! But in all honesty and seriousness, I must say i would not be who i am if it weren't for you and i am so grateful we are still friends. Best friends. There aren't many people I know that i can go seeing once a year and phone calls every 3-4 months and we pick up exactly where we left off as if nothing has changed.
and, cue the theme song from our favorite pre-pubescent movie "Now and Then" (which came out in 1995 by the way)...I am so very, very proud of you.
I will follow this up with an email but i thought because you check my blog "17 times a day" you deserved a little shout out. in fact, i believe you are the only person that even reads this thing. that being said,
Viva le Circle du francais!
Love,
me.
ps. eventually you get used to the whole jeans pocket thing and it's totally worth the change. you either twist the diamond to the inside of your palm, or you only use the tips of your fingers to access your jeans pocket. You will also learn to never put change in your left front pocket. when you receive the hardware, call me and we can practice.
